QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 10-year-old was caught subway surfing on a Queens train Sunday evening, according to police sources.

The kid was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m. after being caught on a train near the Beach 60th Street station in Edgemere, according to the NYPD. The kid was released to their parents, police said.

In January, a 14-year-old died while subway surfing in Brooklyn - the first subway surfing death of the year, officials said.

“Subway surfing kills," said New York City Transit President Richard Davey at the time.
