1 dead, 1 injured in fatal Queens car accident: police

FRESH MEADOWS, Queens (PIX11) – A 21-year-old man was fatally killed in an automobile accident in Queens Friday evening, according to police. 

The accident occured at 6:33 p.m. at 73rd Avenue and 184th Street. A 35-year-old male was driving an Acura when his vehicle struck a 17-year-old and 21-year-old male passenger on a two-wheeled vehicle traveling eastbound on 73rd Avenue, police said.

The 21-year-old was thrown from the vehicle. EMS was called, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The teen driving the two-wheeled vehicle was taken to a local hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries. The driver of the Acura was not injured, police said. 

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
